Q9: WHAT IS THE KONMARI METHOD AND LOCATION METHOD OF DECULTTERING AND ORGANISING?
A9: I am not a registered KonMari professional with Marie Kondo. I do however believe in the Japanese methodology she has introduced to the world.
I am a member of APDO (Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers). I use the KonMari Category method of decluttering but I can also look at room by room. Decluttering in this order first: Clothes, Books, papers, miscellaneous and sentimental. The organising by location is decluttering room by room or a specific cupboard only e.g. the bedroom or attic or the kitchen cupboards. Within a bedroom you can organise by category but the issue here is that you declutter the books but miss out duplicates around the house or clothes in other cupboards around the house.
